Very scenic walk, the tourist office can advise you on different walks that you can do arround. But the 3km little walk of the top really beautiful.

Memory of the Ballon d'Alsace in the snow in December. A long snowshoe walk between the slopes of Gentiane and the summit of Ballon d'Alsace with my dog, a Saint Bernard, totally at ease in the deep snow and crossing the snowdrifts.
Departure from the Gentiane car park, take the Tourtet piste then climb the Chaumière piste, before seeing the summit and the Ballon farm. At the top, everything is white, the Virgin and Joan of Arc.
A nice walk to get some fresh air. It is an absolutely beautiful place to relax in any season.
